How often are you faced with a problem, one that seems to have so many roadblocks built in from the beginning, that it seems impossible to imagine what an innovative and plausible solution might look like? Is it daily?

We might get stuck in the impossibilities and limitations of what we've already tried, instead of reaching for the way out. The Creative Problem-Solving Process provides a framework for getting to the root of what we’re really looking to accomplish and, through both divergent and convergent thinking, allows for imaginative, innovative ideation, while also providing ways to make those “way out there” ideas into something that can be refined and implemented.

In our time together, you will:

  • Understand the different steps in the Creative Problem-Solving process.
  • Experience the different steps using a real-life challenge.
  • Get hands on with different tools that fall in both the divergent thinking and convergent thinking categories, which can be used both within the Creative Problem Solving process as well as those moments when you’re having trouble stepping outside the box.
  • Create your own action plan for how you’ll take what you’ve learned and apply it with your own team.

4:30-5:00: Networking and check in. Cash bar available

5:00-6:30: Program

Meet our Presenter!

Caitlin Drago’s mission is to create cultures of empathy, creativity, and trust, beginning with how people communicate and connect.

She is an LA-based actor turned upstate NY-based certified leadership coach, trainer, facilitator, and author of Approaching Improv – Communication and Connection in Business and Beyond. Acting taught her to be present, self-aware, empathetic and to prioritize connection with others. Improv taught her to listen, trust her gut and deal with the unexpected in a positive and creative way. She currently works with leaders and teams to help them to listen to one another, communicate and connect, using improvisation as a platform for interactive learning.
