Just a quick thank you to our Talk Like Ted Book review and discussion participants this morning at Fina's in High Falls.  We discussed the Ted factors, shared our experiences and discussed the application of the factors to our training work.

Keep on the look-out for a summer "Ted" style program that will highlight our summer networking event.  We are considering a presentation team of six that prepare "Ted-like" 10min presentations to share.  If there is interest, we will support monthly meetings covering each of the Talk Like Ted factors and incorporate them into the presentations.  More to follow...

The OD SIG group met on Sept 13 to discuss possible topics to cover in upcoming meetings. We had a wide reaching conversation about current topics, new ideas and trends in the field. Some topics covered were how technology is influencing learning and development, especially how Artificial Intelligence affects the workplace. What we can learn about presenting training from TED talks was another area of interest. As we often use assessments such as DISC and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator in our work, there are some voices questioning the scientific basis of using these instruments. Our next meeting on Th 10/11 will address this last topic lead by JoAnne Sims. Please join us from 12-2 at Medaille College,
